Dr. Fátima Olivares

Doctor Cum Laude in Psychology and Educational Sciences. She got the University of Leon PhD Extraordinary Award 2017-2018 in the area of Social and Legal Sciences. Master’s in Research in Psychology and Educational Sciences. Graduate in Psychopedagogy and Teaching in General Basic Education (Primary Education). Since 2012 she is a honorary collaborator at University of Leon and a member of the CAEL Research Team- Cognition and Learning of Writing and Reading (Ref: G2020) and the Teaching Innovation Group in Teaching and Learning (IDEA Group, GID 012). Both teams are part of the Consolidated Research Unit recognized by Junta de Castilla y León (no309). Her research interest focuses on instruction and assessment of variables such as metacognition, self-regulation or self-efficacy in complex skills such as reading comprehension or written composition of elementary school, high-school and undergraduate students. From 2014 to 2019 she was a member of the COST international research team (European Copperation in Science and Technology) and took part in its Action IS14010ELN, entitled “Strenghtening Europeans’ Capabilities by establishing the European Literacy Network” and funded by EU’s program Horizon 2020. She has taken part in several conferences and published papers in both national and international journals. She currently teaches at the International University of La Rioja (UNIR).
